Madagascar Rosewood.

This is a true rosewood (Dalbergia), as is Indian Rosewood. In my opinion, it's next best to Brazilian rosewood, exhibiting some of the same spider-web, when grain patterns appear to run into and under each other. Great-sounding, too.

I should note that unlike other photos on this site, this one is not quite faithful; the light-to-dark contrast is exaggerated here.
