Curly maple bindings.

Curly maple has nice chatoyance (one of my favorite words). Chatoyance is that shimmering, illusory 3-d quality where the dark areas become light, and vice versa, as you look at it from different angles. Still photos can't do it justice.

It's great for decorative touches, but I won't use maple as a tone wood (for full backs and sides), because in a guitar its tone tends to be brittle and to lack depth.
